Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park

Lots of hiking trails and lots of history and remnants of World War II are yet to be explored by visiting Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park. Overlooking views, extraordinary forests and spectacular towering cliffs are to be expected once you take a step into this wondrous place. Not to mention that tourists and locals can also hike, swim, go fishing and camping in one of their tents, provided in the picnic sites and other amenities for a day visit.

Alutiiq Museum

To preserve, discover and celebrate the history of the indigenous peoples of Alutiiq, the Kodiak Area Native Association’s Culture and Heritage Division initiated in building the Alutiiq Museum. In sharing their cultural traditions, people would be able to discover the Alutiiq language, Alutiiq/ Sugpiaq people, indigenous plants, art and history. Exhibits are also held to showcase different Alutiiq culture.
